Olympia Le-Tan’s Picasso x Simon de Pury collection recreates Picasso artworks using handmade embroidery that takes up to 300 hours to perfect. In the 1937 “Portrait de Dora Maar,” Picasso depicts a portrait of his lover, Surrealist photographer Dora Maar, also known affectionately as his “weeping woman.” de Pury notes that, “Theperiods of Picasso’s life were guided, heavily influenced, by the women who were in his life at those particular moments”.
